Gallery No. 3 at Lalit Kala Akademi proudly presents Saptak, a captivating group art exhibition running from January 23 to January 30, 2025. This unique showcase brings together the works of seven talented artists—Anil Vyas, Ginni Singh, Hariom, Kanika Goel, Siddhi Srivastava, Sky, and Trit Sharma—each exploring the profound connection between art and music through the lens of individuality and harmony.
The exhibition’s theme, “Saptak,” draws inspiration from the seven notes (swara) of Indian classical music—Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, and Ni. Each artist has interpreted a note, creating works that reflect the essence of these swaras while weaving their personal styles and perspectives. The result is a symphony of visuals, offering audiences a multisensory experience that connects rhythm, emotion, and artistic expression.
Curated with the intention of celebrating unity in diversity, Saptak serves as a metaphorical bridge between the auditory and visual worlds. The show highlights how individual voices, like musical notes, contribute to a greater harmony. Each piece stands as a testament to the individuality of the artist while contributing to the overall symphony of the exhibition.
“This exhibition is more than a visual experience,” says curator. “It invites viewers to embark on a journey where art transcends mediums, reminding us that unity lies in diversity, just as music does in its notes.”
