ICAC to foster cross-cultural dialogue, artistic exchange and create an environment for research and creativity with 18 talented artists
Here’s a great opportunity for 10 days of free art residency, for serious artists to work together and interact with each other. There is a great value in working together and to appreciate, learn and understand art. Mumbai based NGO, ICAC- International Creative Art Centre is about creating the conditions by which great art can happen, and then making sure as many people as possible can engage with the arts and discover what beautiful art can do for them.
The ICAC Artist-in-Residence Program will have 18 talented and emerging artists working under one roof. This 10 days program will help the participants to interact with these 18 Artists who will teach them the art techniques and this will help them to build their artistic skills. The Artist-in-Residence Program is free and open for all on jury selection and will be held from 3rd March to 12th March 2017 at Akhil Bhartiya Manav Vikas Sanstha, Dehgam, Gandhinagar, Ahemdabad. Through interdisciplinary arts, the program seeks to connect artists from various genres fostering cross-cultural dialogue, artistic exchange and creates an environment for research and creativity.
Ravindra Mardia, Founder, ICAC and The Art Hub shares, “The main objective of this program is to provide opportunity to work together with artists, from different background, culture and different parts of the country. This will help them to learn different techniques of creating art works and sharing views with the invited Senior Artists for guidance”. At the Program, each participant will be provided canvas, Brush and colours and each one will make minimum 3 artworks and all the works will be then exhibited at Amdavad Ni Gufa, Ahmedabad, Gujarat and The Art Hub, Worli, Mumbai.
